Preparing

GenCon 2014 is quickly approaching.  This year we are going all out.  A week long road trip starting with Ceder point, then Chicago, then spending half a week gaming and buying way too much.  I'm very excited for this because not only will this be super fun, but also I can gather more things for the wedding.  I'm about half way to the date and already the ceremony venue, reception venue and food has been taken care of.  Bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen attire has been a little more difficult.  This is because we are having a Star Wars themed wedding where most of my family is not on board.  Its ok.  I've ended up coming to a couple of compromises, the big one being that I have to allow children at the wedding for the sake of Alex's side of the family.  If it were up to me, no one under the age of 16 would be allowed, but whatever.

GenCon will hopefully give Alex some inspiration and promotion for his game that he is producing.  Actually, several games.  He started out with a simple bejeweled type game and now is coming up with an entire storybook approach.  He just entered a game jam, which is a contest to create a game in 7 days.  He created his game (called Frankenfood) in 4 days with some cute graphics he and I created on MS Paint.

I've been working as supervising pharmacist at the Ridgewood pharmacy for almost 6 months now.  My store manager is amazing and we've quickly become friends.  However, in the past couple of weeks, a lot of things have happened due to past issues from before I took over the pharmacy.  And with those issues, my store manager ended up quitting. She leaves at the end of this month.  I'm very sad about that and worried that once she leaves the pharmacy will not last very long.  We will see what happens.
