Christmas letter 2010 (for those who did not recieve my card)

To Friends,

Wow! Time goes by really fast. I guess that's what happens when you are having fun. Since last Christmas, my boyfriend Alex and I have been doing quite a lot of things together, making this year quite the one to remember. To start off, during the winter, we vacationed in Puerto Rico for a week, going scuba diving (which I highly recommend to anyone if they get the chance) and just relaxing. We then celebrated our 1 year anniversary of dating in March and then spent the summer going around the east coast doing our geek stuff with NY Jedi. In May, we went to Wizard Philly, a comic book convention in Philadelphia; in July, Alex was in an off-off-Broadway show with the Jedi that drew a huge crowd of fans both old and young; in August, we went to Dragon-con which is the largest comic book convention on the east coast and is located in Atlanta, Georgia. Then in October it was New York ComiCon. With that said, it was quite the awesome summer.

Not only that, but at the end of September Alex and I headed to China for 2 weeks to attend the World Expo that was going on in Shanghai. While the effort that went into creating the World Expo was impressive, Alex and I found the expo overwhelming and very chaotic. However, we only spent 3 days at the Expo and spent the rest of the time seeing Hongzhou, a scenic city on a lake an hour outside Shanghai, and Beijing. I enjoyed Beijing the most and all our picture from that trip are on my Facebook. We also had costumes made in China that we took to the ComicCon's. We dressed as Prince Zuko and Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender (the cartoon series, not the awful M. Night Shyamalan movie). So we are pretty much done with traveling for this year, though we do already have a trip to the Cayman Islands set up for next year in February.

With all this crazy traveling going on, in July I finally decided to quit my job at HealthSource Pharmacy. Those who were with me while I was at this job know that it was putting undue stress on my life and probably think I should have quit earlier. However, it was by far the best decision I've made, because I ended up getting a job up in the Bronx near Yankee Stadium. I'm one of 3 pharmacists at a pharmacy that does over 1000 prescriptions a day, delivers everywhere in the 5 boroughs and specializes in HIV/AIDS patients. So far, it's going pretty well, my bosses are nice and people seem to like me, so I really hope this job works out. After HealthSource, I'm a bit more cautious of independent pharmacies, but we shall see.

As of now, things are looking up and I'm happy to be where I am.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

Sincerely,

Jenn Rabbin
