This October has been super busy for me and there really hasn't been a free weekend in a while. Today, halloween, is really the only free time Alex and I have had and I'm not even sure if calling Halloween "free time" is correct. First off, we had New York Comic-con, which was pretty crazy. This year, they decided to merge Comic-Con with AnimeFest, so the Javits Convention Center was crowded to the point of it was a fire hazard. And if anyone has ever been to the Javits Center, then it takes a lot of people to fill that place up. My friend Emily had decided to come down to stay over in our studio and attend the convention, and I think she had a good time. But again, it was really crowded. I helped out the NYJedi by manning the table that we had and Alex was supposed to have a fight, but ended up being cut. He was disappointed, but considering how many people had fights and how little time we had, it was inevitable. But the costumes we had made in China turned out amazing

Pretty awesome, right? We're characters from this TV show called Avatar: The Last Airbender. I'm supposed to be Katara and Alex is Prince Zuko. So despite the craziness that was NYCC, it turned out to be a pretty good time.
The rest of October is kind of a blur. We headed down to Atlantic city to visit Alex's parents the weekend after ComicCon. The best part of that trip: FREE UNLIMITED LOBSTER BUFFET. Soooooooo gooooooood. I still fantasize about that buffet. Then the next weekend was my cousin's wedding in Baltimore, which was a really good time. Lots of dancing, food and drunk people (open bar all night). It was great. And now it's Halloween, and we went a costume party last night. Today is the parade and tomorrow life starts to get back to normal.
Alex and I have decided that instead of taking one huge trip somewhere like we did this year, we will probably take a few smaller trips to the Bahamas or other places in the Caribbean. So we will be getting our Scuba Diving certifications in the next few weeks in order to prepare for the trip, which will probably take place in February or March (when it's really crappy in NYC). But for now, back to normalcy.
