Yay, I'm a pharmacist

So I had my first solo run this week. I finished my pharmacist training last week, which was oh so fun, but at least it kind of prepared me for what I had to do. In CVS, there a lot of paperwork that goes along with being a pharmacist, such as calling patients about picking up scripts or reminding them to refill scripts or whatever. Plus, anything with ordering prescriptions fell to me while I was finally working as a pharmacist. That I found was extremely annoying, as I am a floater pharmacist and you need to go though a bunch of specified medications and count how many are available and put it into the little handheld computer. Problem was, as a floater, I had no idea about the layout of the pharmacy I was working at and couldn't find half the drugs I was supposed to count. So incredibly annoying. So I ended up working a half hour later than I should have because of it, on top of the fact I was supposed to meet my parents after work as they were coming up from the Jersey shore. Nevertheless, I did get to see them and got a 48oz steak, which is an incredible slab of meat, which we split amongst the 4 of us (me, my parents and alex). There hasn't been much else exciting, as they have yet to give me much of a schedule in my pharmacy. I will only be working three times this entire week: sunday, tuesday and friday. Hopefully though, in the next couple of weeks, there will be more work for me. Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my time off, but at the same time, I worry about not working full time and that I won't get paid my full salary because of it.

In other news, I have been quite the loser lately. I don't really do much but hang around the apartment with Alex, since I get home to late to go to church events and the days I do get off are very random and no one can hang with me. However, I have gone to NYJedi, which is the theatrical sword fighting group Alex frequents, but I did not enjoy it too much. I'm not really one for going up and performing in front of people. I really do like the people in the club though, they are pretty awesome. I will probably hang out with them more often than not, as I do enjoy talking with them and they all seem to like me. This weekend, I'm off to Albany for some family time and then on November first, I move into my new studio apartment on 50th and lexington. Which for those of you who might not know the city very well, is right near Grand Central station and the Empire State building. Pretty sweet.
