I need money

I'm not sure what to make of my employer. I honestly think that they want to fire me, but can't due to the fact that I haven't done anything wrong. Over the past three weeks that I've worked as a pharmacist, I've done maybe 60 hours of work. And in these past two weeks, I've only received one day's worth of work, which in the pharmacy world, is 12 hours. So I had a meeting with my supervisor yesterday to figure out why I was not getting any work. He told me a bunch of things, but in general, he said that I should go into clinical work because I don't have the backbone or the "tough skin" to make it in retail. Amazingly enough, he didn't fire me. The thing I don't understand is how they can assess my abilities as a pharmacist after 3 weeks of working, and having very little work as well. He also said that CVS was supposed to have a whole bunch of stores built by now, but that they aren't getting built until January. And since he had told a bunch of us before that CVS hired 27 new pharmacists (which is quite a bit to begin with) and that they didn't have space for all of us, my guess is I'm getting singled out because I was not taught the system very well and received very little pharmacist training. So I've decided to start looking for another job. Possibly one in the hospital, if I can get it. I know I will probably be very bored at the hospital and it will be a paycut for me, but it's better than nothing. As for right now, my boss did give me more hours for next week, but my guess is that they are just waiting for me to screw up and then fire me. Well, we'll see how things go.

That's the corporate world for you. :( Like JSTOR firing me on April Fool's Day because they made the mistake of hiring extra people on after me but before the economy tanked and then needed to "trim the fat".
