Ah, well! So I've finished my last rotation at roswell park and passed very easily. I really didn't do much during that rotation other than study for the compounding exam, so I don't know if I really deserved the grade, but whatever. I'll take it. On my last day of the rotation, I took a mock compounding exam at the University at Buffalo. Since I had been studying the math for hours a day for a month and a half, I had a false sense of confidence when I showed up to take it. The math section went smoothly, but once I got to the actual technical part of the exam, I couldn't even figure out how to use the tared scale. I was able to make my capsules, but ended up with less powder than I needed, though I'm not sure how since I was sure I measured out everything correctly, then I was confused with the IV's because I didn't know someone would be standing over me holding the paper as I tried to figure out what I needed. It was horrible and I was getting very frusturated very quickly. And I didn't even get to finish the last product, which was my ointment. Overall, it was quite horrible and I ended up crying by the end of the test because I was so pissed off. LIU was not like that test at all and now I'm very confused on how the actual test will be simply because the two mock exams I've taken were so completely different in format and style. However, because of this fiasco, I called up my old compounding professor from LECOM and he will hopefully help me with some of the problems I encountered with the Buffalo exam.
More fun things have been going down to NYC. I wanted to visit my friends down there, as I probably won't be back there until August, so this was a chance to see them before I take my tests and become a study hermit. So I headed down this past tuesday to see my sister off to Italy before heading to brooklyn where I stayed with my friend Alex for the week. I was also able to see two other friends, Ian and Zack, both of whom I love to hang around. I saw a couple of movies with said friends, walked around the city and was also able to schedule a few interviews for when I was down there. Rite Aid pretty much told me to look at outer long island and places outside of the city for a job, because there was almost no hope in any of the borroughs. However, CVS had a much happier attitude and pending a drug test and criminal background check, they said I could start working by august. I hope they were serious, because that would make my life. CVS also implied that I would be working in Manhatten only, which gives me such joy it's almost too much to ask.
Tomorrow I go back to Erie, however, to go through commencement week, which will be a quite intense couple of days. Between 8am to 8pm review classes, I hope graduation goes well and my friends who are showing up (Emily and Tiffany) will be there. I'm very excited to graduate!

Congrats on graduating, Jen!!!
I tried to post something witty and insightful several times over the last few days, but apparently Blogger hates me.
Dangit.
In any event, thank you for seeing "Angels & Demons" with me and enduring my academic rants!
