Mid-rotation, oh god!

Alright, so I am in my third week of my rotation already. This rotation cannot end fast enough. I do nothing here except study, which is good and bad. It's good in that I feel am doing a good amount of prep for the naplex, but it's bad in that I AM SO BORED!!!! This entire weekend was spent studying because I had nothing better to do. Well, except for one of my ex boyfriends coming up to visit me (one of the better ones too, so that was kind of nice). But other than that, there isn't really much to tell. I am working in the thoracic clinic at Roswell, so I end up going on rounds with this doctor who doesn't quite have a proper bedside manner and has to tell almost every single patient she sees that they have maybe 2 years to live... maybe. It's actually quite depressing and if that doesn't make you never want to be near cigarretts or cigarrett smoke, I don't know what will. However, other than rounding with the doctor, I don't do much else because my preceptor is so busy with her own chemo orders that I am not allowed to do due to being inexperienced. So I spend most of my time at Roswell studying my pronto-pass cards (which summarizes the NAPLEX material for me) and doing math problems in preparation for the compounding exam in June. At least they allow me to study, which is a change from metropolitan, where I did nothing and was not allowed to study either. Grr, stupid Metropolitan hospital. I did not give them a good review at all. Oh, the one highlight of this week and probably my life, I am going to see Bill Nye the Science Guy at UB! That makes me really happy, as he's like my hero and he's coming to talk at the school. I can't wait! That's pretty much my life. I have yet to go to the church due to a bunch of random happenstances that have kept me from going, but it's no big deal, as Buffalo has no YSA ward and I have quite a bit of churchyness left in me from NYC. I'll probably be able to go next week though. Oh please, let the next three weeks be less grueling...

Yeah for Bill Nye eh? Thats way cool.

Half way done is better than just starting.

Oh, and Woman, when you say "God" its ALWAYS capitalized AND....saying His name in slang is considered "using his name in vein"....Thats why you don't here any Mo's saying that. Its a respect thing....its also in the 10 commandments. ;-)

It does not sound like you're having a very good time, but at least it's downhill from there! :)

My thesis is due May 2nd, the professor was horribly disappointed with my rough draft, I haven't worked on it in a week, and my brother is getting married Saturday so I'm flying out for that tonight! Truly this is the busy season for all!

I certainly hope you get to go to Church on Sunday! It can at least help you relax and take a breather as you get spiritually recharged.
