I may have MRSA

So I decided to get a blessing on monday night, which by the way, is the weirdest thing to ask a guy to do if you did not grow up in that culture. It's like, "Hey, want to go into a quite room alone with, stand over my head and talk about me?" I don't think I've had one for almost a year now, but I've been feeling very crappy lately and those usually cheer me up. And lo behold, it did. There was a couple of reasons to do this very mormony thing (which I don't usually do mormony). One, I found out I have Impetaigo, which I'm actually really upset about. I like to pride my self on my personal hygine, despite my persistant messiness. So I'm on minocycline, which is making me all kinds of dizzy and nauseous. Also there was this guy who I'd met randomly and was hanging out with, but he is now interested in sex and I said no and of course he does not understand why this is (despite my telling him about the whole mormon/no pre-marital sex thingy). So that was weighing on me after a while, as I was starting to not believe myself when it came to the why. But ya, everything seems better now, so I'm hoping for a fresh start. Plus, I've been called as a ward missionary, so that'll take up a good chunk of my time.

In other news, I'm finishing up projects for my APPE double hospital rotation and apparently, the preceptor has nothing for me to do. In fact, all of today was spent watching him make TPNs. He didn't even let me make one despite the fact that I had made them in my first week there in January. So, ugh! But everything considered, I'm pretty happy with what I had learned so far, so now it's just like review. And considering I passed my core topics test, I really don't care what I do now.

Nice job on the test girl.
Nice job with asking for a blessing, sounds like it was just the thing you needed. It is such a special thing, isn't it?

Sorry about all the illness...geez girl, what am I going to do with you?

I put the guest room back together again...what dates are you going to be here?

Good deal on the calling.
Good job on standing up for what you know is right....I'm so proud of you Jen, I know how hard it is, and must be....but youre doing so well, and without getting too 'churchy'...your Heavenly Father must be proud of your decisions too.

Love ya, hang in there! And hey, would you call me already!? ;-)

:D. Believe it or not, asking for a blessing can be weird for those of us who've been in the church all their lives, too. And yikes! Sounds like you've been through a LOT lately.

Yes, who in their right mind would want to do something "mormony"?

Oh, wait...

Also, bravo for standing up to that guy. I know what it's like, and it is amazing how little regard some people have for the beliefs and standards of others.
